Based on the authority entitled by Law No.1211, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey has decided to WITHDRAW E-7 EMISSION GROUP TURKISH LİRA BANKNOTES FROM CIRCULATION AS OF JANUARY 1, 2006 whose properties are presented in the table enclosed, all bearing on the front side, the clause "14 OCAK 1970 TARİH VE 1211 SAYILI KANUNA GÖRE ÇIKARILMIŞTIR.”
The legal circulation period of E-7 Emission Group Turkish Lira banknotes, which were in circulation along with New Turkish Lira banknotes between
January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2005 according to the Provisional Article 1 of the LAW ON THE CURRENCY UNIT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY No 5083, will expire as of DECEMBER 31, 2005 and these banknotes will be redeemed for a period of ten years starting from JANUARY 1, 2006 to the closure of working hours on DECEMBER 31, 2015 which is the end of the 10 years legal redemption period, at the branches of the Central Bank of Republic of Turkey and T.C. Ziraat Bankası. The banknotes will be of no value as of JANUARY 1, 2016.
