which one for a xmas present for the fam?

The Wii is inexpensive and SO MUCH FUN! Everyone can play it. It has Zelda (which I adore) and soon SSBB and Metroid for older kids/adults, but it also has games for younger kids too.
PS3 is, I'm sure, great, but it's too expenisve and just not worth it until some good games actually come out. The graphics are great, yeah, but what's the point if the games aren't any good?

The wii is the better choice by a long shot, just check the sales figures and you will see the PS3 getting beaten 4 to 1 by the wii, also the wii offers a greater collection of quality titles over the PS3 and also offers a new way to play thanks to the wiimote, it doesn't cost a fortune like the PS3 either.

Get the Wii. It's more cost effective then the PS3. The Wii cost $250 while the PS3 cost $600. :)

Wii is a lot of fun and it's a lot affordable than the PS3.

The Wii is so much better. The PS3 is just a redo of all the other ones.

Xbox 360 is the best choice, but If you have littler kids, I guess a Wii.
PS3 is not a good console, value and game wise...

the wii! i think it would bring the fam so much closer and its just more fun! u dont just sit there witha controler and stuff u actually get to have some movement and its soooo much better! but u should also get the game mario party 8!! its awsome!!

nintendo wii its cheaper and more fun than the ps3 im going to wait for the price to drop alot befor iu even think of getin one
