Overall I think he is ok in the job he has done. Not the best but by far not the worst. In spite of alot of problems that he had to deal with the country has managed to stay relatively stable. For example, the economy (low unemployment, moderate growth) and security (no more domestic terror attacks since 9/11) for starters.
Want to see a really bad example of a President then go back and read old headlines from the mid to late 1970's. We had a President then who put us in a deep recession and left us in some serious problems overseas with our enemies. By far Carter was a much worse President than Bush.

Aside from his bizarre obsession with granting amnesty to illegal aliens, I am quite happy with our President.
He fights the war on terror.
He has cut taxes.
He has made superb appointments to the Supreme Court.
The economy is roaring along quite well.
Harry Truman was a far more unpopular president than Bush. But, after he had been out of the White House for 15 years or so, people realized what a good president he was.
The same thing will happen with Bush.

Well I think at the time Bush was a good choice considering the alternative. And the United States economy is booming right now. I think he was the better man for the job. It's funny how over just a couple of years people can forget that.

Definitly not me! In GWB's presidential canpaign in 1999 to 2000 when he was elected, I was only 19 or 20 at the time, a first-time voter, and I got the feeling that he wasn't the brightest bulb in the bunch as I watched the presidential debates . I was thinking at that time, "This guy is running for president? He seems sort of stupid." Well, he proved it over the last 7 years. He has made really stupid decisions that have been costly to us in blood and money, such as his pointless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, his underfunded No Child Left Behind program, and a bunch of other major flops. I can't wait till this guy's Reign of Ruin is over in 2008.

His approval rating is around the 25% ballpark, so, not that many. If you come to the inner cities, about 90% of the population can't stand him. It's mostly in the south and midwest that people support him. If you go to New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, or any of the other major cities where all the business and educated folks live, his approval rating is way below 25%.

Like any recent president, there are things I like about him and things I don't. On balance, lean towards liking him.
Among his pluses are:
Says what he means.
Means what he says.
Fights terrorism with every tool he can.
Stands up to our enemies.
Cut Taxes
Great response to 9/11.
Grew the economy.
No Child Left Behind Act
Among his negatives:
Senior Drug Prescription benefit.
Iraq War
Botched reform of Social Security
Wrong on illegal immigration
Poor job controlling the border

I don't care for him. (I'm a conservative) And the reason why I support Bush, is because he has practically abandoned his conservative base. Bush is catering to countries Mexico, U.A.E., China, and Saudi Arabia. He seems more concerned about the interests of those countries than the interests of the American people.

True conservatives do not like him; Liberals never did.
We learn daily how he surrendered his responsibilities to others (i.e. Cheney). He even hired a "war czar" (one of his duties under the Constitution!).
He is a bumbler, and it finally caught up to him.
(RE: Congressional poll numbers, they are working to change a culture in Washington that took years and years to create. It's only been a few months)
