I work full time. M-F 8-430. I HATE IT!!!! I feel stupid because i know almost everyone does it, but i feel like so much of my time is wasted and i have not time for fun! is this normal???

Hey you could be me... I work Thurday nite thru Monday morning 6:30 PM to 5 AM. for doing 40 hrs in 4 days, I get 3 days off but I am not looking good on the social or family functions card. I do it so we can have more money though with night shift differential and weekend pay.

Yep, i totally feel ya! It feels like you spend the majority of your time at your job. by the time you get home, you're exhausted to do anything that you really want to do, and then its time to go to bed to get up and do it all over again. And then your weekend is spent dreading Monday. Its not necessarily the job, its the routine. Everybody says to live life to the fullest and that life is too short so live it up, but you can't, because you're at work. Damn the Man!

Sadly, many people feel like this.
Try to find something that you love. It may not be something that pays a lot, but if if you can work doing something that you're passionate about it will be well worth it.
Life is too short to do something you hate!

I work 7-5:30 and rarely take my lunch hour. I Hate it to. But what ya gonna do? It's normal. That's why I buy lottery tickets every Saturday. (Y!A is my work release)

yeah. alot of people work for the weekends. wow sounds like poor planning to me. well if you dont decide for yourself then others will and most will lie their life for the weekend untill they are 65 and then well forced to work just to maintain their weekends and medicines. unless they now decide how to invest their money so they arent like the masses who live for the weekend and give meaning to their own life.

of course that's normal..........who really wants to work.................... however bear thsi in mind not all of us are born with rich parents or do we have the pleasure of finding a filthy rich spouse so for us unfortunates we will have to work hard no matter how much we hate it
