Despite low approval ratings and hard feelings from last year's elections, Democrats and Republicans in the House are reaching out for an approximately $4,400 pay raise that would increase their salaries to almost $170,000.
I don't think they should get a dime over 40K. If that. Hell they are ONLY in session for 88 days a year!!! I wish they would all go away!

What exactly do they do to get $170,000 a year???? My husband works his butt off in the oil fields and barely scrapes $40,000. If anyone should be getting a $4,400 pay raise it should be the troops stationed over-seas.

I say don't even worry about a pay raise, I think there should be limits to their term, they should step down or not be allowed to be elected more than twice.

That's why you need to vote for people who won't vote for a pay raise. I do feel that they make enough money, however, shouldn't everyone get a raise each year to help with our changing economy and cost of living??

They should be charged for the privilege of serving the American people instead of us providing a salary to them
