To attempt to name all of these rights--starting with "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" mentioned in the Declaration of Independence--would be to start an endless list which would add up to the whole of Man's Freedom (Freedom from Government-over-Man). They would add up to the entirety of Individual Liberty (Liberty against Government-over-Man). Innumerable rights of The Individual are embraced in the Ninth Amendment, which states: "The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people." (Here "Constitution" includes the amendments.) Some idea of how vast the list would be is indicated by just one general freedom which leads into almost all of Free Man's activities of daily living throughout life: freedom of choice. Freedom is a birth-right. When you're born, you come wired with no boundaries...physical, mental, emotional, spiritual...everything. If you were to be born on a deserted island with other people who were also born there, and you had zero concept of what was going on outside of that island on Planet Earth in 2007, then who's to stop you from doing any and everything?

HOWEVER, in this world, humanity has gone about making it a privilege when they have no grounds to do such. This world is full of evil people who seek to impose rule and obstruct freedoms. Some obstructions are necessary, like laws and mores, however, basic freedoms should never be infringed upon by any person or government, which is why I feel so strongly about America's actions globally (when done properly) to free people from oppression.

What type of freedom? Some freedoms are specifically guaranteed in the US Constitution. Others are implied. The freedom of speech, the freedom to be free of unreasonable searches, the right to face your accusers, and the freedom to bear arms are all rights and freedoms we share.

I do not have the freedom to do whatever I want, whenever I want. I do not have the right to not be offended. There are some freedoms which we do not have.

I believe freedom is a basic human right. We should all be free of the interference of others. We should have the right to do whatever we like just as long as we don't hurt anybody--and that includes ourself and our environment.

People feel like they have to take their freedom, but if you have to take it, then you never had it in the first place. Freedom starts, I believe, in our own minds. We have to free ourselves from attachments to people, things, and preconceptions of how the world is...and then our minds shall be like a big, blue empty sky with a calm to wander and explore.

freedom of what. if you r talking about the constitution, it is a privilage. everything in the constitution is a privilage. it can be taken away at any moment. like the patriot act. it took our privilage of the right to privacy away.

Privilege. You got to want to be free and accept the institutions of freedom like tolerance, basic human rights, etc...

Without acceptance of these, you cannot have a free society.

Americans are free because we accept these norms. Now the Iraqis have not.

Some people define "freedom' to mean freedom to to what they want--including compelling others to follow their wishes. And anyone who objects as "opposing freedom."

The correct word for such people is "bully."

Freedom is actualy a "Right"..Every human is born free and this right should be preserved..but in this age..it is not given as a privilage even !i would honour it if would be given even as a privilage though i know its my right to be free !so rare to see the "real" freedom that a human should own !
