My monitor keeps losing and changing colour,it is sometimes fine for a while but then goes again, i can hardly see anything on it, any ideas? Thanks.

Usually means that one of the color guns is going out in your monitor. Not much you can do other than get it fixed, or buy a new one....
Sometimes you can get the color gun to come back on temporarily by smacking the monitor on the side... (Not a permanent fix.)

Check that the signal cable is secured at both ends.
It might be a video card problem, but I would suspect that if the cable is good that you need a new monitor.

Have you tested another monitor on that same video card?
