I need to find a keychain to put on a key so people won't forget to put a key back where it belongs after they've used it. In other words, I don't want them to put it in their pocket and forget it...any ideas?

How about a horse shoe.
Or probably there ID would work the best though. When they bring the key back they get the ID back. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

Some gas stations that let you borrow a key to the bathroom will have the keys on a regular sized key chain that's strung through a hole in a small board, about 8 to 10 inches long (too big for a pocket & too big to forget).

A piece of 3/4 x 1" wood about 8" long. Use wire to attach the key.

A bicycle tire, just kidding.
Depending on what or where you are using the key, a shaped piece of wood.
Like a boat for a boat house.
