I think Gore should run for president because he has a good chance of winning and keeping the conservanazis from the presidency. I don't think he would be an especially good president but definately better than the one we have now and any improvement is a step in the right direction. If legal Gore should make Bill Clinton vice president so Gore could resign and the country would be lead by an experienced and very competent leader again.

No-Dems are pretty unforgiving-we don't like a candidate to run again after he has lost (even though Gore sort of won)

Also, everyone forgets he ran a horrible campaign-new consultants every day and no consistent message.

I believe he has his niche now as a reformer/Hollywood reformer. The minute he enters the race, the bloom is off the rose. He will get hammered. Plus, with Clinton/Obama/Edwards in the top tier, is there room for a respectable has been?

Al Gore is considered a laughing stock in most circles these days, If you truly desire a Rep President, then nominate Gore.

Geez, Gore is as old school as my kids! I agree though that he is yesterday's political news.
