If you believe in the theory that humans evolved in Africa and then migrated to other continents then yes, we all all "black" in a way and yes, the first president could have been black.

I have no idea where someone would get that kind of information.
George Washington, who served as the first president of the USA, was born in the colony of Virginia, which was then a part of Britain, as it was one of the colonies in the Americas. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that he even had any black blood in his family tree. The truth is that the Washington family was quite prominent in British social circles and had aristocratic titles (I mean the part of the family still in England). They were so terribly ashamed that a member of the family had led troops against the crown that they disowned him, and, for several generations, used an alternate spelling of the family name. Later, they went back to Washington, and I was told that the home of one of his grandparents has a plaque saying that the family was the family of George Washington, Commander of the Continental Army and first president of the United States of America. I guess after the sting wore off, they ended up being proud of him.
The person who told you that may have misunderstood something which is going on in the US right now. Our next presidential election will be in November of 2008, and the actual candidates will not be set until the political parties meet next year and decide on their official candidates, but campaigning has already started. There is a black Senator (technically half black, as his mother was white) who is planning to run for the office of President. I am pretty sure he isn't the first black man to do so, but he is the first who stands a good chance of actually making it onto the official ballot. If he wins the election next year, he will be the first black president of the US. It will be an interesting election, because the other person from his political party who is doing well is a woman--she might get the nomination and be on the ballot instead. The fact that Barack Obama (the black Senator) is running may be where the person got their information.

Well that depends on who you consider the first president. If you're speaking of the "Father of Our Country," George Washington, who was the first president to serve under our current constitution, then definitely not.
If you're speaking of the first president of the Continental Congress, John Hanson who served under the first Articles of Confederation, then nope, he was white too.
Some may argue that Peyton Randolph was the first president because he was elected to preside over the 1st Continental Congress, but alas, he too is not black.

There has never been a black president in this country. However, the first person who died in the revolutionary war was a black man named Crispus Atticus.

The following Presidents are linked (through not completely supported evidence) to being decended from African ancestors:
Jefferson (3rd President)
Jackson
Lincoln
Harding
Coolidge
Some of the evidence is circumstantial at best and relies upon very weak support. However, some of it is actually well-supported and although not conclusive, is interesting.
