Whoa...I just came back here to check on my Question...and to read some more...What is up with the slams on Gays? Its no wonder my Friend Mike was freaking out yesterday...Why are some people just so mean to Gay and Lesbians? In my life, I have never seen so much HATE here..Why can't we just live our lives and accept each other for who we are?

Example would be one of the last answers to my "Did I do the Right thing" Q.

How do I deal? I report the harassment, I block the user, and then I move on to the next question. I give the trolls no more attention than they deserve.

There are certain religious persons who spend more time here than in the religion and spirituality section, just waiting for the opportunity to "stomp" their beliefs and ideals into your face. I wish they would stop - it really reflects badly on the religion they represent.

I think when I get to Heaven, God is not going to be high above me on a pedestal, judging me from afar. I think God's going to push open the gates with a great big grin on his face and say, "Hey! Was that the coolest or what?!" I have trouble believing in a God that is that hateful and wrathful. I believe He has reason for everything we do, and it's not up to anyone else but us to deal with it or judge it.

I think you can see the same slams/trolls all over these answer forums. It is easy for people to slam in here because they like to get people riled up and it's anonymous. People can say things here that they would never say to someon's face. Deal with it? Ignore it. People who hate me "because I'm gay" aren't worth my time or response.

religion. If there was no religion what would we define as "acceptable" in our communities. It would be free to interpret. even as i am a Christian i can realize that this isnt a disease as some people put it it can be choice or it can be .. instinct (for lack of a better word). Hope it helps. that is the why now how to deal is basically you need to realize that people who dislike you arent needed in your life. dont look at them or just ignore. It might be hard but try 2 deal

Yeah, well... today seems like the hate thy neighbour day, more so if he's gay!

I went for a stroll, came back to notice the trolls. Ignore them, report them, and move on. I guess an aspirin will also help.

Unfortunently, we just have to learn to live with the haters. We can comfort ourselves knowing that they are prejudiced, but it's much easier to ignore them online. Talk to your friends. I have one friend in particular who is really good at making me feel better when I get down about the haters online. Know who you can talk to.

People always get mad or upset about things that they don't understand or are afraid of.... Just remember we can't change people, but we can change how some make us feel...

just because some people refuse to accept your lifestyle and your choices doesn't mean that they hate you.

stop thinking that you are a victim.
