Everyone has their own personal preference as far as what type of man/woman they're attracted to. Just because you don't find black women attractive doesn't necessarily mean that you are racist. The definition of a "racist" is someone who dislikes another strictly on the basis of their race rather than their personality or character. So to accurately determine whether or not you're a racist, you need to ask yourself WHY you don't find black women attractive. And then go from there.

Of course it does. There is such a broad range of features, builds, skin tones, hair, etc., among artificially designated race groups. How do you decide when black becomes brown and so on? How you define a black person once multiple racial backgrounds step in? There are Caucasian women with kinky hair, or have features that aren't any different from women who are black. Black people can have light eyes, and Caucasians can have dark eyes.
So is it just the skin color? How dark is too dark before you'd find someone unattractive? Many people would rather say they just find black people (or Asian or whatever) unattractive rather than delve deeply to understand their own fears about what they believe.
I don't think my judgement is harsh. I don't exclude myself from being racists. How can Western society not be racist with stereotypical media portrayal and eons of entitlement? I'm racist because I am lighter skinned, and I have to question myself all the time about the assumptions I make.

There are 2 points are. One, can you call your husband whatever insulting name for his race? Two, the N word has been used against a whole race. Would a Chinese person want his best friend call him Chink? The answer is NO, playful or not, because these words perpetuate and eventually have a life of their own. So many people have worked so hard, and some even died for the cause, to fight against discrimination. Doesn't seem like it takes much to undo things, does it? I would not be offended if I heard your husband call you that word in public, I would wonder why you an educated person tolerated it.

No, I don't think that makes you racist. The way you worded it was a little rude however,:"I don't find black women to be the least bit attractive." You could have said it in a nicer way, for example: "I'm not attracted to black women." There....doesn't that sound a little nicer?

It's just a personal preference about what kind of women you find attractive. It's not racist. Everyone has their own preferences about who they find attractive. It's only natural.

Who you are attracted to a racism are not related. If you dislike or generalize about a group of people, that would make you racist but being attracted to certain physical features and not others is not purely racist.

You must understand that if you know the truth, the inner aspect of a woman has yet to be defined, therefore you should look forward to being "fruitful," think what genetics does another race have that you could use in your own being, rather than looking at the RESULT, look at the ROOT. See I know that you don't find these women attractive because of personality, but that's nothing, you can teach a woman to be anything if you love her, personally if I find a sexxy enough black woman I could love her......A woman is a woman, made for you!

No. It's a matter of personal preference. I have dated men of all races and always found something interesting to talk about. But then I have worked with international students my entire life. I like that.

Um, not really. I don't find black men attractive at all, either, but I'm not entirely a racist. Although a lot of my East Indian family is a bit racist, I try not to pick up their habbits.

No that does not make you racist. Everyone has their own preferences. I am of a particular race and I was never attracted to men from my own race. I preferred Latin men and married one. Does that make me racist? Definitely not.
