Apparently for you, the purpose of life is to ask this question over and over.

If you didn't get a satisfactory answer the other 23 times you asked it, what makes you think you'll get one now?

I'm not exaggerating. Look at your account. Give it a rest, already!

Hi!
Truthfully? If I could tell you so, I would
be a tillionaire!

If you look at life many years ago, its clear to see that things were very different.

A woman's role was to 'cook, clean and cater for her husband' while the husband earned the money! Women didn't have the vote, either - there was no sense of equality! Both men and women would wake up each day, have breakfast and then work.

Now the world is a lot more developed, we have new technology which influences peoples decisions and way of thinking! People have ambitions and dreams.

Our character has been built attracted to POTENTIAL. 'What I could have' and 'What I could be.' People want more than working, cooking, sleeping, breathing and breeding..

...they want to achieve their goals. These days things are a lot more equal and women over the age of 18 have the right to vote. Society is a lot more balanced.

Even when you look at photos of just 5 or 6 years ago, you can see the differences. Hairstyle, furniture, wallpaper, language, music etc...

Life HAS changed.
So, I say to myself 'If life is always changing, then the meaning of life must change too!'

I think the meaning of life will always be changing..It will always mean something different to each individual...The more our countries develop, the more food that is put on our plate..the more hungry we will become!

The only thing I think will remain the same, is that we are here to 'live and die.' I don't believe in reincarnation. We all have an expiry date, and once we have passed that...Our door closes, and another one opens for new life...

Regards :-)

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

All systems apparently adapt a configuration of minimum energy. The mix of molecules making up the primordial 'soup' 4.5B ya were no different. Self-replication and teleology are just an unfortunate and unforseen consequence of this 'accident'. 'Life' is by definition sui generis, both question, meaning and answer therefore meaningless. There exist universes where the ratio of fundamental constants and forces are different which seem to exist just dandy without life, there being no nuisance philosophers around to even beg the question. (See the anthropomorphic principle)

This is the most common form of misconception that arrises from the analytical study of lifes cyclic nature as a means to understand lifes meaning.

Heres another for you:

Life is about this is about life.

I would suggest you look within yourself first you may find peace of mind is waithing there. When you truly understand yourself then your pupose becomes instinctive, your path clear and decisions no longer a matter of choice.

Wow you have asked this question a lot. I will tell you my answer but I wouldn't be surprised if you don't like it.

The meaning of life is to serve God.
Easy to say, difficult to do.

God is good. God is love. God is justice. God is kind. God is forgiving. God is beautiful beyond all understanding. The closer you get to God the more your understand of life. But it has to be a choice or it would be worth nothing.

The meaning of my life is to just enjoy my time with my husband and sons. The meaning of your life will be something different.
