This is really bugging me now, I can't work out why it won't work!

The switch IS on, it IS enabled, it IS detecting the network I want to connect to, but it won't connect. The internet is not the problem since it works fine plugged in with the LAN cable (that's how I'm on now), and also my husband's laptop connects wirelessly just fine. So mine must have a setting wrong somewhere, right?!

HELP!!!

It is not the WPA encryption (if that is the same as the network key), that's already in. Any ideas?!

Read The Friendly Manual (RTFM) for your router and look for WPA encryption.

Then, Read The Friendly Manual (RTFM) for your laptop and look for WPA encryption.

When the WPA passphrase matches, it will work.

First go to your wireless connections tcp/ip properties. Check that everything is set for automatic configuration. Then use your wireless card's own utility to search for your network, set the encryption and connect.
