Hey,

If you use it just to surf the net and email, you may just want to upgrade it. I highly doubt it can be upgraded outside of flashing the BIOS with a new version, getting a bigger hard drive and more RAM. If you plan on using it for more, I would build a new computer entirely. You can't expect much more out of that computer than what you listed.

Regards,

Brandon

You can consider upgrading, but the time effort, and money it will cost you will exceed the cost of a new one. Especially considering how you use your computer, a basic replacement will likely cost you no more than $500.
The other problem that you may have is that since your PC is rather old, it may be difficult to find components that will be compatible with it. I would recommend a new one, and the improvement in speed will likely impress you.

If that's ALL you do, it should suffice, though a little more RAM would help, and run the lightest OS (Win98SE for something that old) with matching browser.
