The only place in the U.K. that I know of with a minimum speed limit on a motorway, is where the M25 goes through the Dartford Tunnel - the minimum speed is posted as 20mph.

In general there is not a minimum speed limit as it would be impossible to enforce it. However if a driver was driving extremely slowly for no apparent reason and it was causing problems for other drivers then it is possible the driver would be questioned and if necessary escorted off the motorway.

There is no minimum speed limit on any public road in th uk the law states that if it is safe to do so then you must drive at the speed limit conditions allowing i.e. in a 30 zone you drive at 30 etc

no legal minimum speed limit, but certain classes of vehicles are only allowed a maximum of 40 mph, i.e fairground / showmans tractive units pulling more than 1 trailer, certain categories of heavy haulage combinations, as higher speeds will cause tyre failure due to heavier weights ( up to and above 400 tonnes) carried. If in doubt ask either a motorway patol officer, or contact DVLA or VOSA

As said by the previous answers; there is no minimum speed limit.
But to to be allowed to drive on the motorway the vehicle has to be capable of more than 30mph.
So no tractors. Is this why there are no motorways in Norfolk?
Just kidding Norfolk people!

According to U.K. road law, there is NO minimum speed limit on any road, including motorways*.
However, if you are deemed by the police to "be causing a hazard or obstruction on a public highway", you could well be looking at a fine.

Providing the traffic is flowing freely and the weather conditions allow, the minimum speed limit for the motorway is 40mph. The only exceptions are when your vehicle cannot reach 40mph, (this only applies to the likes of tractors and large towing vehicles, not to a car that's on its last legs)

I'm not sure its a legal minimum but scooters have to be able to manage 40mph before being allowed on motorways.
