I am trying to understand why anyone listens to her. I know she went to law school and has written many books but whenever I hear her talk, she never discusses any real issues. She gets personal and mean which makes her look foolish. Please objectively tell me why people listen to her.

She makes me laugh. She is a bit on the extreme side, but she raises some really legitimate questions and concerns. It's better to have both sides of all issues voicing their ideas and concerns. Helps to keep us better informed.
It would be like rowing a boat with only one paddle if you didn't have both sides speaking. You would just go in circles ... and never get anywhere!

Ann has a very important place in the Republican strategy and she is their "girl" on the front line.
The republicans have never turned down a vote ... not from ignorant, the racists, the greedy, the intolerant, the brainwashed, the narrow-minded ... or as in Anne's case - the hateful.
She is there to solicit the vote from that percentage of the republican faithful, whose chief objective in life is to hate someone else, thereby convincing themselves that they are better than that someone else ... voila ... enter the republican darling, Ann Coulter ... little miss sunshine

Ann is awesome.
If she doesn't appeal to you and others its because you are not her target audience. She speaks to the right in America. She speaks the truth without apology, and does so aggressively (hard offense).
She just simply does not care what the left thinks about her...at all!
Funny. Intelligent. Well spoken. Aggressive. Gorgeous. And she is right 95% of the time!

For the same reason people listen to Michael Moore. Some folks like to hear people say what they've been thinking to themselves, even if it's all tripe.

They are either insecure, whereas she would therefore offer them the opportunity to feel better about themselves by vicariously belittling those she is attacking, OR
they are immoral sadists and hypocrites.
Either way she is merely a spin monkey who plays on the either the evil or the ignorant nature of conservatives.

She makes people feel like their ridiculous beliefs about liberals are valid....it is the same reason the Germans lstened to Hitler when he spoke of the evil Jews....words that make you think you are right can overcome common sense.
