Part B - if you will: do you see both of these things happening, one or the other (which one?) or neither?

I'd have to agree with a lot of the other answerers here that this is a really tough question. A lot will depend on who manages to stay healthy and keep on top of their game. On the one hand, I'd have to give an edge to Federer because he has consistently gotten to every slam final in the past few years. It was somewhat of a fluke that Nadal managed to make it to last years final, a feat that I suspect he won't repeat this time. On the other hand, Nadal is younger than Federer and still has room to develop his game whereas I feel that Federer may be peaking soon. Nadal has the potential to be a really dominate player a la Borg. We must also remember that Agassi stunned everyone when he won his first major at Wimbledon, and his game was somewhat similiar to Nadal's. It is a toss up, but I will say that Federer probably has a better shot at winning the French first.

Nadal will win Wimbledon first. Nadal is better on grass than Federer is on clay. While Federer seems invincible at All-England, he has lost. Nadal is undefeated at Roland Garros. I hope Federer wins the French but I think he missed his best chance this year. He finally loosened Nadal's clay stranglehold on him at Hamburg, but that confidence builder wasn't enough. Nadal didn't make last year's Wimbledon final because the draw was weak. He gets better on grass everytime he plays and the change to rye grass has increased how high the ball bounces. This plays right to Nadal.

Lastly, there are more people who can beat Federer on grass than can beat Nadal on clay. Federer will need Nadal to be upset to when the French.

Federer will eventually win the career grand slam. Remember, he did end Nadal's clay court winning streak so there is every reason to believe Federer will win first. Part B - I don't see Nadal winning Wimbledon anytime soon, Federer owns grass probably more so than Nadal on clay, Nadal seem to be a one-surface wonder to me.

Good question. I think that Nadal will win Wimbledon first, and Federer will never win Roland Garros, unless Nadal doesn't play in the French Open one year.

Nothing against Nadal but its much harder for a clay court specialist to do well on grass than vice versa - look at the past winners of each and do a comparrison. I think you'll find more Wimbledon champs who have won the French than vice versa.

I think Federer has a very good chance of winning the French someday but who knows? Its the unpredictableness that makes sports fun.

I think that Federer will win roland garos first because he's just brilliant on every surface and nadal struggles on grass a little bit. we saw that in queens when he onlt made it to the QF.
Nadal may win wimbledon one day but not while Federer is at large!
so yes...I see both things happening!

I think both will happen soon enough, but Federer will win the French Open first.
