I can only advise you to contact the I.N.S. and ask them. Or you can go to http://travel.state.gov, because chances are they'll have the answer in there somewhere.

As for whether or not the Bahamas will let you in, contact one of the following:

The Embassy of the Bahamas in the USA
2220 Massachusetts Ave. NW
Washington, DC 20008
Telephone: 202-319-2660
Fax: 202-319-2668

Consulate of the Bahamas in Miami
Ingraham Bldg., 25 S.E. 2nd Avenue
Miami, FL 33131
Phone:(305) 373-6295
Fax: (395) 373-6312

Consulate of the Bahamas in New York City
231 East 46th Street
New York, NY 10017
Phone: (212) 421-6420
Fax: (212) 759-2135

Depends on how you're getting there. Air or Cruise ship? If by cruise you only need your valid perm resident card aka green card. If by air you need a passport to be allowed into the Bahamas.
