You are required by law to tell your future employers if you are asked about it. Period. It gives you ZERO chance of being hired as a pharmacy tech. I suggest you change your field of study.

Well, you have three chances:
1: slim
2: Fat
3: None
This may not be the best direction for you. If anything happens at the pharmacy you work for, the feds will crawl through your history and it will come up. Even if you had nothing to do with it, you'll be the prime suspect, and the people who are guilty will feed you to the wolves.

No chance whatsoever. Don't even bother applying. They do extensive background checks on pharmacy technicians (believe me, I got called by an investigator who was checking out my co-worker's daughter, and I had met her ONCE), and in some states you can face criminal charges if you lie about prior drug use when applying for a pharmacy job. Sorry, but in any pharmaceutical job it's one strike and you're out.

It doesn't sound like you were arrested, so there is no police record. There is a decent chance that your former employer would not give the details of your departure because of fear of lawsuits. Many employers simply verify dates of employment and whether or not you are eligible to be rehired. It depends on the company.
Well, the valuable lesson here is to never take a drug test if you fear that you will fail it.

if you were charged with a crime then any prospective employer may do a background check and not hire you based on what they see. not sure about your state but in sc a previous employer cannot share your personal information...only information about your work habits. you could speak to a former manager or supervisor and apologize for you behavior, let them know you have turned you life around and are seeking new employment and ask that they not share the reason your job was terminated

Not sure if they can release that type of information or not. However, if you are fond of drugs, how in the world are you going to make it working in a pharmacy? I am by no means an addict, but I couldn't take it being around all them goodies. I wouldn't steal any either, I just couldn't deal with it. It would be torture!!!

Your chances? When they run out of applicants who haven't been fired from a previous job because of drugs they might look at yours.

They would probably find out even if you omit that employment history. I would think any pharmacy would do an extensive back ground check.

Very little or none. Also, you should seriously consider whether this is actually a good path for you. Someone who does drugs should not put themselves in a place with so much temptation.

Try another line of work. It is unlikely that you will be hired.
And, it is probably best for you to stay away from the drugs.
