It has to do with the atomic size. As the atoms get smaller, the reactivity lowers also because you know how electrons "orbit" you can say, around atoms? when the atom gets smaller, Its nuclear charge increases because the nucleus is getting closer to the electrons, but the reactivity decreases as the atoms ability
to gain electrons decreases resulting from decrease in atomic size. Hope this helped. :)

Its the other way round. As you go down the perodic table the alkali metals become more reactive becuase there is less electrostatic force holding the electron in the final shell in orbit.

Are you trying to say that Lithium is more reactive than Cesium? If so, go to youtube and search for alkali metals, it's a brainiac video.
The larger the atom, the easier it is to remove an electron.

You have this wrong.The higher the atomic number of an alkali metal is;the more reactive it is.This is because the outer(valence)electrons are further away from the atoms nucleus in the heavier atoms:consequently the more easily they are drawn into naughtiness with oxygen and such like troublemakers.

They get more reactive as you go down the group for 2 reasons:
1) The outer negative electron is further away from the positive nucleus, so it is not held as tightly.
2) The outer negative electron is 'shielded' from the positive nucleus by other negative electrons in the inner electron shells. So again, it is not held as tightly.
