I had lost my IUD just over a week ago and since me and my husband are ttc...i know sounds funny ttc but having an iud...we were hoping god would somehow take care of it since I have the weirdest of luck. Anyhow, I bled extremely heavy until monday and tuesday my bleeding suddenly stopped. Later in the day wednesday, I bled a deep red for about an hour and it wasn't much blood just a little bit. It stopped and right before bed it happened again and had stopped. I have this cramping when that happens but the cramping stops any other time. Its weird to me and I'm not sure what it could be. Most say its too early to be implantation bleeding but we have been making love at a minimum of two times a day and i just don't know. What could this be?

My doctor knows all about the IUD coming out and there isn't a problem.

Did a doctor remove your IUD, or did it come out on its own?

If a doctor did not do it, you really must go to your doctor NOW. You can get serious infections when something like this happens and those can affect your ability to conceive, not to mention your general health. Part of the IUD might still be lodged in your uterus. Did you see the IUD when it came out? Are you sure it was intact?

Your cervix or uterus have probably been damaged by the displaced IUD. You are bleeding because of this injury. Because you are having frequent intercourse germs are being introduced to these open tissues. You are at risk of infection.

Do not attempt to get pregnant until you have seen a doctor and been treated for this. This is nothing to fool around with.

when did you have your last period? The removal of the IUD may be causing you some cycle changes. Wait another 2 weeks and if no period try testing
