I was a minor when I stole the 10 dollar item and I had to pay a fine of 500 bucks. I am not sure if it will show up on the criminal backround check....

Yes, actually it will. It will show up as a juvenile offense, and will NOT say what the offense is if you are now over 18. Sometimes it takes a while for juvenile offenses to drop off of a background check.

I have a juvenile record a mile long. Most records are expunged when you turn 18. It shouldn't show up.
