I agree with you totally. After i had my 2nd child who is now 17 months old...the last 15 pounds of weight was hard to come off and i would go to the pool and to the beach in a one- piece. I was not that overweight!!! It was all baby weight but until i got it off, my stomach was pudgy and not meant to be shown. When i finally lost the weight and now, back down to 135 pounds, 5'7 trim stomach , i am finally flaunting my 2 piece proudly. I know when i was that fat, i was disgusted with myself and i was not going to wear a 2 piece, I think these overweight people could care less. I am starring you cause this was a great question that needed to be answered. I am sure you are going to get a bunch of nasty comments, but them are the ones who are probably overweight and nasty!!! I think if overweight people have a medical condition and they just are fat, that's different but for the ones you are just overweight and could care less, they need to work out 7 days a week like i had to, to get the baby weight off...then and only then should they wear a bikini. Bikini's are for people who have a nice body...period!!!

I totally understand how you feel. And I'm actually surprised you didn't get anyone screaming and yelling at you (well, screaming through typing), saying that you're a b*tch and all this other stuff...
Which you're not.
I'm not overweight in the least, but I still barely feel comfortable in a bikini. So I can't dare imagine being like 50/or more pounds overweight and doing it.
...but one time, I went to Cocoa Beach with my mom, and we stayed at this amazing hotel right on the beach. So we would lie at the pool all day long, and the pool deck was right on the beach, so you could walk to the beach from the deck. Well, we would occasionally, and one day we did and we saw this woman that was, NO JOKING, like 300 pounds in a little bitty tiny red bikini. And when I say "little bitty tiny" I mean skimpy. And she had the best freaking tan, with NO freaking tan-lines at all. It was SO NASTY! My mom and I were like, "how the hell can she do that?" and my mom is overweight and can barely handle being in a one-piece without a cover-up on. So she was like, "Wow." And the woman was with a husband that was like all over her.
I think some people just don't care. My sister I think is one of those people. She's overweight too and wears too tight of clothes. Like yesterday she came here and was wearing this shirt and you could see like 3 rolls of fat on her stomach. I wanted to say, "Julie, that shirt like is 3 sizes too small for you." But I couldn't, you know?
Anyway... good question. Have a star!

No idea. I certainly wouldn't do it. I admit, I am about 20 lbs overweight and I wear a tankini. That's because it actually makes me look smaller than a one-piece.... it holds the bulges in a little better in the middle. However, why someone would wear a bathing suit that makes them look WORSE is beyond me. I don't get it either. Don't ever come to beaches in Delaware or you'd be scared half to death! Our beaches are full of fat men in speedos and 300lb women in string bikinis and everyone is pale as all hell!!! It's almost blinding to walk on the beach!!!

They are probably comfortable, both in the physical sense of the suit being comfy, and the women are comfortable with themselves. They don't care what others think. And I'm sure some people do think they look good.

I think its probably half and half, i think some of of them think they actually do look nice, maybe because they lost a couple pounds (or not). But some probably just really dont care.

They're trying to fit in. They want to feel good. There's no harm in it, if they are morbidly obese they are gonna look bad in most people's eyes anyways.
Let them feel good about themselves, life's hard enough with people constantly judging.

I hate it when people do that. If the belly rolls are gonna cover the bottom, they better not be wearing it. I am overweight only by about 15 lbs, but I wouldnt dare wear anything like that. I got my one piece that covers everything up. lmao
I really hope they dont think it looks nice.
That really goes along with the fat chicks who like to wear skin tight tank tops and they got 4 rolls hanging out. so nasty

Because wearing a one-piece makes you look even fatter.

id rather see a fat person in a two piece then a one piece. a fat person in a one piece looks like more distusting then the natural skin.

being overweight a bit,I don't wear a bikini,or two piece.
I think it's because they are comfortable and confident in their own body.
And so what if they want to wear a 2piece-or bikini, live and let live.
