I wanted to disolve galena with an acid, wich acid can disolve the galena?

Galena can be dissolved in aqua-regia 1:3 HNO3/HCl

Galena is not soluble in water...

But will dissolve in basically any acid with a pH of three or lower.

Apparently, aqueous iron (III) does help speed the reaction along.

Any mineral acid, but HCl is most obvious.

PbS + 2HCl ===> PbCl2 + H2S
