Why would electricity go from the lightning through your pipes into a stream of water and into your body to get to ground, when your plumbing is undoubtedly grounded already?
Remember, electricity takes the easiest path to ground.

It is not a good idea to shower or bathe during a thunder storm. Nor is it a good idea to talk on a hard wired land line telephone. In houses with older electrical systems, they used to ground the electrical box in the basement to the water pipe. However, many modern water meters have plastic or Teflon components that resist the flow of electricity as it seeks to run to ground. In some instances, lightening striking the metallic drain vent pipe on the roof could kill someone taking a shower.
Lightening can also strike the service pole outside of your house and travel along the phone wire. That can be hazardous as well. A wireless phone poses no threat.

No, the lightening can get through pipes. Not super likely to happen, but there have been some instances of people being electrocuted that way. Wait till the storm passes.

I tend to agree with Bekki B.
Nothwithstanding the poorly designed experiments of the "mythbusters"...I find it difficult to imagine a scenario where a stroke of lightning could cause a sufficient voltage drop between a showerhead and a person in the shower to cause flashover- even with the shower running.

Make sure you have a good water purification system...the "pure" water will not conduct electricity. A reverse osmosis and deionization unit would suffice.

No, you shouldn't do much of anything associated with touching / being near your house's / apartment's plumbing during a thunderstorm.
