Alot of things.
Check your attic or basement;
there might be a dead rat , possum , or racoon in there.
The flies would most likely be drawn to it.

If you have dogs be sure to feed them outside in these high temperature times. The food will attract many flies.
On fact whatever animal you have as (as long as it walks) might be drawing flies near because of its food.
In these times flies seem to reproduce in vast numbers.
Also if you have dogs outside make sure you pick up their poop ........flies will come and then when you go outside and open your door they will all come in to see whats for dinner.

Make sure to keep your doors and windows closed so that they do not get in ............flies have a nasty habit of leaving traces of wher they have been(dead animal or dog poop) in your stuff.

My personal favorite is to have venus flytraps but they take some time(alot of time to catch them). If you want to et rid of them use the traditional fly swatter
my other personal favorite.......the electric swatter

Hope this helped

Flys are atmosphericly sensitive..they seek a shelter when the atmopheric pressures change, like if a cold front is aproaching, or a season is changeing.
Every fall, the flys invade my house. The fly around in circels, or fly zig-zag back and forth in the middel of a room. Bussing volumously, and annoyingly..aparently in no hurry to go any where other than where they are.
The all seem entent on reproduceing, copulateing every where i look, on the tabel, in the windows, on the walls, the celings, and the furniture... it's an orgy, i'm sure.
They land on my sandwiches, my coffee cup rim, my dinner plate,...they urp up and suck it back, in the way flys do, and drive me to distraction, untill i declare a total state of genocide on them, and the battel of the season begins..!!
In no time at all there are carcasses smeared everywhere, little goar smears of guts and grease,
bodies and body parts litter my house from top to bottom, east to west ,north to south.
I reach the point where i am even swatting flys on the OUTSIDE of my windows, as if they are in the house with me, urping, copulateing, buzzing round in my space. My killing frenzy is apexed, then, i know,..and still they come,..a dozzen arive for every one i have slaughtered..
It's a hopeless battel...they seek refuge from the cold..i seek to rid my place of them..nature motivates both them and me..
As i vaccume and clean and wipe my liveing spaces, I realize the killing was all in vain..the flys would all have died with in the week regardless, they live only 2 to 4 days at most. I wonder if my spirit will pay a recompence for it's heartlessness, but tell myself ..
I CAN AFFORD IT... my taxes are payed.
:]

If you tend to buy a lot of fresh fruits such as bananas and certain types of pears.....they sometimes contain 'fruit gnats" tiny little flies that become larger ones as the fruit continues to ripen at room temperature.
Always wash your fruit really well, even the ones with skins like bananas and melons etc, and remember to dry them off thoroughly.

Dead Item or Trash. Check the Chimney, Under the Porch, or Basement.
Also look for a Hole, or Screen out of Place.

Flies would like to come in your house because it may stink (No Offense), they may smell something interesting to them, or maybe they're just curious!
