**removes the underlying tissues to see if there is a present beneath**
(sigh) Well I know that at Christmas time when I get a big gift bag, people have been known to not only stop with one little surprise inside, but they put something wayyyy down deep in the bag and cover it up with tissues so that you have to search for it to find the treasure.
I guess I see this as a metaphor for underlying issues as well. You're right.... so many of us ignore that. But it's the underlying issues that determine all else. If you stop and stand back and say, "Ok something else is at the root of this" and then investigate and analyze it just a bit..... the true reasons become apparent. Dealing with them will then allow everything else to fall into place. Who is paying attention to the underlying issues? Those with enough passion and heart to want to make things right. But it takes someone who can put their needs aside for a minute in order to really really look at what is standing in the way.
(lovely question girl!!)

I don't think a lot of people do these days. Myself, I am always looking for an underlying reason to things. Call be curious.

I always do, because that is where the root of the issue always is. ;-)
