Rummage sales are cheap. Thrift stores are cheap. I used to shop at a couple of Goodwills in Columbus, OH. They had (probably have) different colored tags on their clothing and each week one color would be 50% off, the other 75% off. Even if I literally needed the clothing (which is the only reason why I shop, even at rummage sales and thrift stores), I would still look for the 75% off color first.

Me, I just have faith that God will provide within my means. (I also refuse to spend more than $10 on clothing; $20 if I literally need it.) Last fall, I was getting dressed for church, trying to find a shirt to wear with my one pair of dress pants (that I got at Target, technically for free from a thank you gift card that we got when my husband bought me my Saturn). I said something to the effect of, "God, I could use some new dress clothes." That evening at the new memebers class, I met a woman who two inches taller than my six feet. She asked me my size and I told her and she said that she had some old work clothes that she thoght might fit me and decided that she wasn't going to fit into them again. Earlier, she had said that she was a lawyer, so I figured that she wasn't talking jeans and Tshirt. I got four or five suits (with skirts and pants), and several pairs of pants and jackets. Some were too small to begin with, but most fit. I got several hunderd dollars worth of clothes for free and they should last me a few yeras as well.

I've also brought home leftovers from when I helped out at my church's clothing giveaway as well. I figured that since they were leftover, it was okay to take them.

Funny, I have many clothes that I got for free. It has definately helped that my husband's seminary (he's persuing his Master's of Divinity degree) has a free table where students, faculty and staff and take stuff they no longer want and other students, faculty and staff can take them if they want.

In addition to the aforementioned Free Cycle, there is also Craigs List which not only should have a Free section, but a Garage Sale section as well.

Hi, This is SO NOT COOL. How would you like to buy something that some other guy had worn and returned? It's essentially stealing, and once the stores peg you as a serial return artist, then you may be barred from the store, or they could refuse to refund your money. Better idea - find some vintage or consignment clothing stores near where you live and get inexpensive but good clothes there. Guys clothes don't change in style as drastically as women's do, so you'll have a better chance of getting something that's stylish at a great price. Even better - put together your OWN LOOK from the vintage clothing stores, and you'll look different from every one else. That will make you more memorable than wearing clothes with the tags hanging off - because if you remove the tags, many stores won't take the clothes in return.

I don't any free clothing store/place but I do know some places that have the same clothes at the stores that may have been used once at a very low prices. I got a used fancy prom dress that I'm using for Halloween for only 12 dollars at a thrift store. My friend practically bought all her clothes at Salvation Army before I showed her Kohl's. She got Abercrombie, Aeropostle, and Limited 2 stuff for under 5 dollars. I hope this helps!! Good luck!!
