Both are Avatars.

In Hinduism, an avatar or avatara (Sanskrit अवतार), is the incarnation (bodily manifestation) of an Immortal Being, or of the Ultimate Supreme Being.

Christianity (for the most part) happens to believe that Jesus of Nazareth was the ONLY avatar.

Christianity focuses on the belief that God doesn't need to repeat himself.

Hinduism focuses on the belief that people need to be told more than once before the message sinks in. It also believes that God may have different messages for different times and situations.

Yeah...during the time that Christ dissapeared into the wilderness, he actually went to India to learn of the ways of Krishna there. Then upon his return, he spread the knowledge of compassion and of the mind's eye.
