Well, You are In a bit of a jam there. If you are babysitting this little girl and you can't get in the pool, then don't let the baby in the pool either. Find other fun activities to do. Also, I understand you want to obey your mom, and that is really important. I think your mother is concerned you will not be responsible enough to change your tampons regularly, which sometimes (rarely) can make someone very ill (Toxic Shock Syndrome). I am a mom of 2 teens and I know I was not eager to have them use tampons. However, if you educate yourself about TSS and prepare a good explanation for your mom as to why you have to use them here for safety reasons, she might allow it just this time.

Usually, (well for me) WHen in water, wether it be the tub, or a swimming pool i dont bleed. It sort of stops. Have a towel at ready hand- so right when you get out you can cover up just in case.
Other wise ask ur mom if u can use a small (slim) tampon. At you age I don't think it's good to insert tampons, but it'll ease your mind of blood dripping down your leg.
Good Luck to you!!!

don't swim if you don't have tampons. It's ok to let her down but don't tramatize her with the sight of you bleeding. That would be worse. I understand about you mother not wanting you to use tampons. They don't take your virginity but if you wear them too long you could get toxic shock syndrome. Ask your mother exactly why you aren't allowed to wear tampons. Don't accept an, "I told you so" answer. And if you really want an awesome solution, visit www.divacup.com to find an alternative to pads and tampons. It's really a silicone cup that you wear in place of a tampon. No risk of toxic shock, no products going into our landfills or sewers, and virgins can wear them. I've got one and I can swim play sports, everything. You can't even feel it either. Ask your mom to visit the site with you so you can discuss it.

You should ask your mom if you can where tampons only this time. If she says no, then just sit on the steps of the pool with the child. And don't worry about your period coming at different times of the month, soon they will.

I've never understood why Mothers don't let their daughters wear tampon, but, don't go swimming
I'd suggest talking to your Mom about the tampon thing, unless she doesn't feel you are responsible enough to wear them, but still...unless she thinks they make you not a virgin, which losing your virginity is about the act not breaking your hymen (tampons don't break some girls hymens, it just depends on the thickness of yours, but really, why does it matter?). But I'm sure not swimming with this little girl will not scar her for the rest of her life, maybe get one of your friends to come and swim with her, and just watch.

You can't swim without a tampon. It is unsanitary. Talk to your mom (tell her you will be responsible about them) and if she still won't buy them, buy them yourself or boorow a few from friends. It is your body and tampons do not harm you.
(Water doesn't stop a period, it just washes away the blood)

honey, DO NOT SWIM WITHOUT A TAMPON!!! and ask your mother why she won't let you wear one! there is absolutely no harm in it. if she still won't let you, ask her to take you to the doctor and let your doctor explain why there is no harm in it. also, your period will get more regular as you get older. your body is still adjusting. mine usually comes 4 days earlier than the last. Like if I started on the 10th, the next month it will come on the 6th. like clockwork.
