I need to pick a topic for my argumentation paper. It has to be something that I feels needs to be changed for the better. Abortion, gun control, gay rights, and legalization of marijuana cannot be used. He used the example of what can be changed to make being a student better. That quickly went south. I can't think of anything!

HELP ME PLEASE!

Okay, here are some of my ideas. I don't know if your school/district does this, but many, including mine, engage in random drug testing for all students involved in all extracurricular activities. Just because our football team got caught using steroids, they drug test everyone for steroids, including the Mathletes. I know if they get rid of that program, being a student would be much more pleasant. In your paper, you could address the constitutional freedom from unreasonable search and seizure and the need for reasonable cause. If you go to http://www.aclu.org/drugpolicy/testing/index.html , they have alot of good information.
I hope this helps!

Well, global warming is a hot topic right now. If you picked a topic like how to make our environment better for future generations, you'd be able to find lots of resources to cite.

When I was in school and had to write papers like this, I always picked funny topics or topics that interested me so it would be fun to research or write about them. If it were me I'd be picking something like how to get Celine Dion to finally retire for real, or how to get McDonald';s to serve breakfast items all day instead of stopping at 10:30. When you really like your topic it shows in your writing SO much!! Have a great day!
