Infidelity rates are getting higher and higher in the American society. Here are some infidelity statistics based on a survey by the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago:

25 percent of men have had extramarital affairs
17 percent of women commited adultery
Many couples that go through extramarital affairs end up staying together for their children's sake. Marriage experts say that the real test begins after the affair is over.

Only 35 percent of unions survive an extramarital affair.
65 percent of marriages break up because of adultery
Nothing can destroy a marriage faster than extramarital affairs and marital infidelity.

People who cheat on their spouses are deadbeats and should just be an adult and get out of the marriage. Infidelity is the most damaging thing that can happen in a marriage....

No that is the one thing I wouldn't tolerate from him, so why would I do it. I would consider my self a very sexual person, and my husband and I have a great sex life but I can't even imagine sex with someone else.
Ironically, even when I am mad at my husband or frustrated, have actually thought of ending the marriage. The last thing about is being with another man.

None - If I wanted out I broke up with them.

It saddens me to think of all the heartache caused by both the men and the women who choose to cheat. You are causing so much harm to the person you are promised to - leaving them would be less painful for them in the long run.

And to the "other women" and "other men" out there - if they'll cheat with you - THEY WILL CHEAT ON YOU. You've been warned.

Never have never will...I think only cowards who can't be honest with their own feelings and emotions cheat...if I wanted out of a relationship I'd get out I would exacerbate the situation by cheating...it's a cowards way out....

I cheated on a boyfriend once. But it was in college. It was at a party after a tough semester. Got a bit drunk. Cute guy. My guy away at home. You know the rest.

always think Karma when it comes to subjects like this one...you can be sure that if you do cheat somewhere down the road it will come back to you. If you leave don't do it for another man do it for yourself!!

It's not good to cheat. Work on your marriage or get divorced. Tell him it's over.
