can you win a gift card?

well i got this email saying i won a gift card if i fill out a survey. i usually don't go for it but it does seem kind of real. i just want to know has anyone here ever done that or knows someone or think its bogus. if this helps its from jcpenny

If it's what I'm thinking, you have to complete some sponsor offers which will mean you will have to spend some money or give out personal information to get the card. It's a scam
