My sister once told me that she asked her friend what she thought of me and she replied with "hes pretty scary"
Are they saying this because I'm ugly? Or because I'm tall and somewhat intimidating looking and have been told i have a "serious" expression to my face and an "intense" personality? Or is it both? Could I be ugly? I'm 24 and I've only ever "hooked up" with two girls in my life and nothing ever progressed further than a few kisses. They eventually stopped talking to me.
My sister tells me I'm ugly when she gets mad and I definitely think this is a possibility. Chances are if i wasn't ugly I'd have a girlfriend by 24 years old, right? Girls really don't seem to make much of an effort to be nice to me and sometimes i sense they get nervous if i try to talk to them.
I tried putting photos of myself on www.hotornot.com and received scores of 7.8, 8.5, 8.7, and 9.4. Clearly this data isn't showing me as ugly... So maybe i look way worse in real life? Why can't i get a girl?

To me, "scary" rarely ever translates to "ugly". It's usually along the lines of "you're intimidating" (like you stated). And anyways, intimidating people aren't necessarily ugly looking. Since some people say that you have an intense personality, maybe that's the reason why girls get nervous when you try to talk to them. As for the pictures or hotornot.com, how you look is entirely personal preference. Some girls may find you attractive, others may not. But really, though, if you want a good long-term relationship, don't hook up with somebody who only wants to be around you for your looks.

In this day and age, no one has to be ulgy. By your description you have hit the mark I'm sure. Your serious and deliberate. I also get this alot when I was young. What the heck, hanging with younger people will increase this thought. Get out with like minded people, college friends etc. Get into your interests, start a people orientated sport or hobby. Develop your self, others are out there. Look at Bill Gates!

Whenever I've heard someone referred to as "scary", it's never been about looks, but about the person's personality and/or demeanor. You are probably giving off a scary vibe with that serious look and intense personality. You may just need to relax a little.

Im female, and used to model and act. I have been told that I was scary before, yet men approach me constantly. I do tend to have a serious face, and am not the average height. I believe it is something with your expression and body language. Smile more often, soften the edges.

Ok what the hell...... you say "how come girls dont talk to me bla bla bla" I looked on your other questions and you ask all this stuff like why girls dont talk to you and you even said You need a girl to help you beacause your still a vergin and have never really been in a relationship! Intense can be scary to some people. Try to talk with people one-on-one. Try to be comfortable with them, and they will be comfortable with you.
The kind of girl you want will not care what you look like anyway. I once liked someone who really wasn't great looking, but he was such a sweet person. That's what counts.

I don't know if you are ugly or not (whatever that might mean), but you sure are ever so slightly self obsessed.
Stop worrying constantly about your looks and develop a personality- then you might find that girls are attracted to you!!

its probably the serious look. everyone always has told me, that i am scary because i look so serious. its a trait. God made us all this way for a reason... that may save your life one day, some goon may not want to mess with you b/c of your intimitable ways... as for everyone else, tell them with a grin, its my achilles heel, theres good stuff in this old heart of mine.

Some people just say things that try to make you feel bad and i dont no why just dont pay any attention to that and that dosent mean your ugly so dont let it bring you down.
