Far more likely to happen on the Eastern seaboard of the USA if and when the fissure on mount Teide - Tenerife - gives way and a large chunk of the mountain falls into the Atlantic ocean. It just happens to be facing the USA and the resultant tidal wave will be certainly massive enough to wipe out New York, Miami and other cities in the Eastern USA. We are keeping the trigger up our sleeves until we think it is time for a massive population cull in USA.

It would be so unfortunate if a massive earthquake in California were to trigger the Teide collapse and both sides of USA got hit at same time. I guess the central belt must be the safest place to relocate.

there is not any longer something shall we do. fortunate for us that the biggest asteroid interior the photograph voltaic device is only approximately six hundred miles in diameter. or perhaps luckier is that the biggest asteroid in an Earth crossing orbit is only approximately 10 miles extensive. So there is 0 probability any asteroid bigger than 10 miles will ever hit Earth. If we've been monitoring a ten mile extensive asteroid and had 2 many years warning, there is an probability shall we deflect it. yet there is not any way shall we do something approximately an asteroid with only some days warning, no be counted how small it rather is. and there is not any way shall we deflect a 2,500 mile asteroid (if one existed), no be counted how lots warning we had.
