Well here we go again..?

Well the congress has done it again. The congress gets a cost of living each year. This year they said they would not take it untill the minium wage was raised. Well the wage was raised so now they are voteing to give them self the raise. Each year they get a 4.4% raise.Social., Security got a 2.1% raise last year because of higher fuel cost but they get a 4.4. That brings their base pay to $170,000 a year. I thought they wanted the job because they wanted to make this a better country to live in. I would want the job to if I could give myself pay raises. What do you think?? this is not about just one party This is about both.

The raise they are talking about is $4,400 a year. The last year I worked I got a $ 1,200 raise & I owned the company. That brought my pay up to $89,000 ..

They got their last pay raise because if they did not get a raise. no goverment employee could get one either.

that's the damn flaw isn't it? greed will ALWAYS win out..there've got to be some administrative dweebs that can be in charge of pay scales for congressmen...who creates pay scales for the rest of the hill's employees? let them decide damnit!

Pay raises for Members of Congress would be fine IF the average person could afford to run for Congress. Election reform that divides equal money to all candidates and prevents any/all corporate contributions would help.

Working 6hrs a day for 3 days is harder than you think! Pfft, honestly I think a school janitor should make more than congress members these days, congress does nothing so they should get paid nothing.
