People won't have send their kids to schools 30 miles away and take 2 hours of their day riding a bus. My kids had to grow up with it and parents on both sides of the issue hated it.

Improve the inner city schools and then kids that live in the neighborhood can go to a good school.

Probably slightly good, though nothing significant. The only real significance of this is that the children who have been bussed miles away will have a shorter bus ride.

It would have been much better if the Supreme Court had declared Public Schools to be completely unconstitutional because the American people will not be properly educated until the Public Schools are shut down (so that they can no longer teach math the way you're supposed to teach reading and vice versa, not to mention numerous other stupidities).

It's about time--this ridiculous practice should have been stopped at least 10 years ago.

All bussing ever did was create another artificial environment in the public school system.

I have had forced busing pushed on us here in Boston since September 12th, 1974 and today in 2007 the ENTIRE Boston school system is 86% black & hispanic.

No responsible parent would allow their children to attend the Boston public schools and the dismal quality of public education and safety is all thanks to court ordered forced busing.

Stopping forced busing is a step in the right direction, but too bad it is not being done by any democratic means, but by our Judicial dictatorship.
