Well the arrange marriage or love marriage is not the criteria to make the marriage successful, but the factors necessary to make a marriage successful are:
1. Good understandings between the both.
2. Respect for each other and for each other commitments.
3. Optimistic view toward life.
4. Sense of Humour.
5. Good communication which is as important as other factors.
6. And at last lots of love for each other.
If these 6 factors are present then any marriage can be a successful one. But yeah I do believe that in Love marriage both the partners know each other beforehand.

marriage is a gamble.....play your best bet and leave the rest to GOD.!! there is no sure shot formula........despite having known each other well enough many couples in a love marriage break up......or are immensely successful as well. same goes for an arranged marriage.....sometimes two entirely unknown individuals just get along like a house on fire or sometimes they also fall apart.
whatever it may be.....it requires a sincere effort from both partners to keep the marriage going. as far as family is concerned....one should never go against either's parents' wishes. in most cases however love marriages do suffer from lack of full fledged support from family members.
biased as it may sound.....as a personal choice....i would favour an arranged marriage and am having one!!

I've never been in an arranged marriage, so I don't know. I wouldn't care for the idea of being told who I had to marry however.
Love marriages work fine, but often run their course eventually. I think people in arranged marriages feel more obligation to stay together indefinitely, no matter how they feel about their partner, than people in 'love marriages' do...when the love is gone, why stay in the marriage?

Both have successes and failures. No system of marital alliance is flawless. In a love marriage you get to know your partner sufficiently well before marriage. That should logically ensure a higher chance of the marriage being successful. However many a thing defy logic. So you can't be 100% sure with either.

I prefer love marriage although I have a friend who had an arranged marriage and it seems to be a good one.

lots of arranged marriages are successful but usually they`re the ones in which both parties totally believe in that concept. Love is the more usual reason to marry but both can be a success .

Marriage involves not only two people but also their relationship with God. If two people can worship God together they can have a long and fulfilling marriage whether it was arranged or if they met and fell in love.

depends on how committed the two are towards each other. Arranged marriages tend to last because both parties(mostly the women though) are afraid of societies retribution
