I officialy got into rock when I bought the Red Hot Chili Pepper's Californication in 1999. From there I got into their older stuff and bands like Nirvana, the Foo Fighters, and Sublime. I still love the Chili Peppers for introducing me to rock and still listen to their stuff, old and new, but not as much as before. However, whenever somebody asks me what is you favorite band, I always answer the Chili Peppers and will always have an awesome respect for them. I still can sing along with Californication even if I havent heard the song in a long time. Those songs are engraved into my brain.

Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Kiss and CCR are the bands that I remember from the mid to late 70's. CCR is iffy on being considered rock though.

I also remember Jim Croce and Gordon Lightfoot but I wouldn't call them rockers.

Guns and Roses, I heard their music playing in someones car when I was about 13 and that got me hooked. I did like bon jovi very briefly but that's wasn't heavy enough for me. After G & R I bought some bands music I'd never heard of just to give it a try and now they are my favourites, like staind and the wildhearts and live, they are just fab.

I started singing when i was seven and liked it more and more, from there i began to become very interested with music! When I started listening to music, i thought rock would be screaming, but that was just punk and stuff like that! The bands that got me started were Queen, AAR, FOB, MCR, and Evanescence- for alternative!
