so it ends up in voting. How many of you go back after that length of time to check on a question you answered and place a vote?

I know, it's not politics, I'm just curious about this. It's hard for me to believe a lot of people are keeping track after three days and care enough to spend their time going back to check questions and vote. If not, who is voting on these questions? It doesn't go by the thumbs up or down, just by votes after the fact.

I'm really surprised by how many of you said you go back and vote, that's cool, I should do that more often. I tend to go back and check only on questions that I found really interesting to see how they ended up.

I agree with the first person - I answer a question and forget all about it unless it gets voted as a "best answer". If there is a question I'm really interested, I just star it and go back later but its because I'm interested in the answers, not the voting.

I have voted on a few questions, usually when I come into the politics section and don't see any good questions. I don't search out my own answers, just get a kick out of reading them and voting on a particularly witty comment.

Probably around half of my best answers are votes, they seem to appreciate a smart@ss comment.

That would be cheating and unearned. Nothing is good if it is unearned. I'm not even crazy about getting a vote for best answer. It doesn't feel earned but more as a last ditch to gain points which mean nothing to me. just like the feeling I get when someone selects my answer as the best.

I'm guilty myself of not following through. I only take interest in the ones that are of interest to me. Kind of like politics turn your back on something that does not concern you at the time.

Those who care about their answers and
those who enjoy seeing their levels going up and
those whose votes are also counted
and those who really follow the rules
and feel proud to see the voters had voted
their answers as best.

If you mark this answer as best I will be such a person.

About once a week I go back and vote on all of my answers.

It doesn't take very long, and it adds up to alot of points. And there is no rule against it.

Now you know how people with multiple accounts have higher best answers. I'm sure they do not want you talking about this. If you put a * in front of your answers I will vote for you if I see it. :)

I never go back and check. I always pick best answer for the questions that I've posted, though.

I will admit I do.
Sometimes I get the email that my answer was chosen by the yahoo "Community", with the one vote I gave myself. LOL

I don't I am more a driveby type, I see a Q that gets my attention, respond, forget it unless I see I get best answer.
