I wanted to make something for my cousins that can be easily done. I've got sequins, beads and laces, but don't really know what to do with them. Can anyone suggest websites where I can see how to sew nice frocks, etc. for them and design them? Or even your own ideas would help. Thanks in advance.

Draw simple shapes like hearts or stars and sew lace around it You can sew the seqins on the area you just sewed or fill in with your beads or sequins. Simple spirals or diamonds or flowers would be cool too. You might also check out coloring books for other shapes if you can't draw them. At the hem of a shirt, pants or dress, work lace to form a stem and add sequin leaves and flowers on top. Check out your local Hobby Lobby or JoAnn Fabric stores for other ideas and books. Check out your local library if you are on a budget, you might find some great ideas there too in the crafts section.

I bought some small jean type purses at my local Michael's store. Cost you 1.99. They are perfect for the ages you mentioned. You can sew or glue the lace, beads and sequins around the pockets and edges on the front and back. I made some and used them for gift bags for my step-daughter's birthday. I filled them with children's make-up, candy and novelites. They loved them and they were 10-11 year olds. I then bought some cheap ribbon that they had on sale for $1.00 and used that as a belts around the belt loops. Your cost would be less then 3.00 each. Very easy!! Hope this helps. Good luck.

Start with T-shirts, use dye to personalize, then embellish. Add a skirt using a complimentary fabric 3 times as wide as the bottom of the t-shirt, gather to fit, and stitch to the bottom of the t-shirt. The dresses are cool and comfortable, and pretty.

You could do pillowcase dresses for them. Maybe you can get a grownup to help you with these instructions

Or you can get them to help you buy an easy pattern and some fabric.
