I left my wash bucket that I planned on using to wash my new car, my car wax, tire cleaner and things of that sort in the trunk of the old car. I didn't realize this until 2 weeks after I sold the car to him. He has never mentioned that I left those things in the car, and my guess would be that he intends to keep them for himself and I suffer the loss. Legally, are those things still mine or do they become his since the car is now signed over to him? If he plays dumb and says he doesn't have them (I'm 100% sure I left them in the car) can I use my spare key and go in the trunk while he's parked at work and get my stuff out? Should I let it go and suffer the loss?

Well, I already hinted that I needed to get the rest of my things and he gave me that "What stuff?" look like there wasn't a snowball's chance at me getting it back. I trusted this dude and let him take the car before he paid me all the money for it. His car was repo'ed and I called myself helping him. He gave me only 2 of the 300 I asked for it, then he waited and paid me when he got good and ready, almost a month after he was supposed to pay me. After I saw how he did, I just signed the car over and chalked it up to a loss, after getting nowhere with asking him for the rest of the money he owed, but I do want my stuff and to be done with this loser for good. I found the spare key after I cleaned out my purse oneday, btw.
