Most Americans are conservative in ideology, but voted mostly Democrat in 2006 because they did not like Bush. Now, Congress's approval rating is lower than Bush's and the average American is not too happy with Congress or the Democrats at the moment. I think it is mostly wimps and the poor that vote Democrat.

I mean, Bush is not a good President, but I doubt any Democrat could improve this country.

When the Republicans were in control of congress I have never seen such lap dogs. Sadly they went from being Republicans which I used to be and still believe in, to something that certainly wasn't Republican.
I will not vote for any Republican. Its time to change the people in Washington. But the real sad part is that I will be voting for something that I care for less. However the current Republicans in Washington are not Republicans. I am not sure what they are. ANYTHING will be better then the current THINGS in Washington.

Really, what DO the Republicans have to offer? Ron Paul is one Republican I would vote for, but has little chance of getting nominated as he isn't a lap dog.
Preacher1, do you realize the amount of money the REPUBLICAN congress mishandled/spent since they took over in 94? And you ride Dems for being spendhappy?

because the entire republican pack running are only capable of repeating talking points.
do they ALL want to continue the war - except for ron paul, yes.
what do over 70% of americans want - an end to the war - you are living in lala land - and like most republicans - are straying further and further from the herd daily...

The Democrats are talking about raising taxes, why would we vote them? If you keep up with the economy, it was the tax cuts that caused this economy to boom. When people have more money in their pockets, they spend more. The only ones who benefit from raised taxes are the ones who sit on their tushs receiving handouts. The Dems are terrible people and terrible for our country.

Most Democrats are either misguided, gullible, stupid, or Kool-Aid drinking idealogues who do what ever the party tells them to.
The Democratic Party could nominate a ham sandwich for President, and some of these boobs would vote for it!

The failure of Bush and Cheney and the lack of checks and balances during the Republican control of the House and Senate. Clinton was far superior to the failure Bush.

Right, because, you know, who would possibly want to go back to the peace and prosperity of the nineties? Aimless war, incompetent government and economic turmoil are so much better.
