Why are there so many out there, that think it is so funny or cool to answer with a stupid answer or rude answers. Do they have so pathetic a life that they have nothing better to do with their miserable time? Go away and leave the answers to the folks who generally want to help out. I pity all you poor losers out there that get "off" by hurting others, must be a lonly life at the bottom.

Sad to say that these people think that they are so cool and everyone just loves their answers. When in fact we can see them for the pathetic people that they are. They just don't get it that they are clearly showing the rest of us how pitiful they are.I'm giving your question a star because you said what a lot of us have been thinking !

I agree. sometimes I do give silly witty answers though. It's all in good spirit though, and I never do it when there's a serious question. I even ask silly questions sometimes, like I asked the old question from Snow White: "who's the fairest of them all?" This guy answered "Michael Jackson" and I laughed. I love Michael, but I voted that as best answer because it was cute and witty. Sometimes we just want to have a little fun. Lighten up a little. As for the cruel people...they're just losers who have nothing better to do than show off their stupidity. It's the real world.

Not only getting Stupid answers but Stupid answers getting the Best Rating either from Askers or even Voters. This is the case even with stupid Questions being asked and many enjoying answering such stupid questions which are of no use and they get points to take them to higher level in Yahoo Answers..
Problem is many are treating Yahoo Answers as a Pass Time enjoyment.

How Can We stop it?

Asking a serious question and getting stupid answers. Awhile ago, I asked something about my cats, something like, "My one cat refuses to use the litter box no matter what I do. What is his problem?" And I got answers like..... "Maybe he doesn't like the color of the litter box." "Maybe its really a dog that looks like a cat. You can't make a dog use a litter box." "I don't know, that's a good question." What is wrong with people? If you don't have an intelligent answer, don't be answering serious questions!!!

Honey bless you and just don"t let life harden your heart !

I agree that people can be really really rude here, but that's what you have to expect when asking a question. Even if you ask for only serious answers, people are going to be rude and childish because they think they're funny. Just ignore them, and report them if they bother you.

Peace.

Um.. i dont think its cool, and i dont get "off" by hurting others, but expecting people to give serious answers all the time is just gonna get boring, i find it funny sometimes to give a stupid answer if you think that makes me sad then thats fine..
