Poor old nan - getting older is no picnic honey, and no-one is exempt, unless you fall off your perch first.

Ask your nan about her life before you were even thought of. She brought up one of your parents, lived through a world war and a depression, may have gone out to work, kept a home going and supported a husband, and I bet she has time to listen to you. Bet she says her parayers for you as well.

Does nan forget what she just did, repeat herself, tell you the same story twice or more? Chances are you will be like that one day too, and you will appreciate your grandchildren taking some time for you.

God bless your nan, and you too.

Well my one Nan died 17 years ago and I miss her loads, she never bored me and i could listen to her for hours. My other nan is still alive and at 85 she still makes me laugh out loud. So the answer to your question is, no. make the most of your Nan, she won;t we around forever and believe me you will miss her when she's gone.

It's a b----r isn't it? I like to know how I can avoid putting people to sleep because sometimes I feel that if I do not say anything the conversation will die. My wife seems to spend her time telling me to shut up or killing any subject i raise. This may be unfair but that is how it feels
