Sounds good to me, tell me where I can sign up. Enough of these misfits leading the country down a slippery slide so they can pad their pockets. Revolution is a coming. The sooner the better.

No. In fact, the federal government taxes people far more than necessary, so it can turn around and give money to the states to get the states to do what it wants. For example, back in 73 during the "gas crisis" the federal government wanted to lower speed limits to 55 mph on all highways. Since setting speed limits is the function of states, the federal government "blackmailed" the states into doing it, by threatening to withhold highway funds that the states had become dependent upon. Another example, in western states such as Nevada, where MOST of the state is owned by the federal government, the feds pay the state to compensate for the tax money the state does not get for property taxes. Lastly, the feds pass a law that requires the states to do something but does not give them any money to do it. (This is called an "unfunded mandate.") The most recent example is the REAL ID program. It requires the states to tighten up on requirements for drivers' licenses, which will take more time and money to do, yet the feds did not give the states any extra money to do it so the states have to pay for the program. (Not to worry, as with Background checks for guns, unfunded mandates are unconstitutional so as soon as the states file suit, it will either be overturned by the courts OR the feds will have to cough up the money to do it.)

If you don't pay your taxes at all, the worst that will *usually* happen is that your paychecks will be hit with a garnishment--the government will take its cut right off the top.
If you *cheat* on your taxes, you can be sent to prison. Big difference.

I wouldn't recommend it, though, unless lots of people are also going to do the same thing.

The tax situation is in desperate need of overhauling, but there are more important problems on our plate at this time.

You know there is a lot of intelligence in that statement. We did it once before to end government oppression and it worked. It would work today too. Can you imagine how fast we could topple the government with no tax dollars. Do you have a plan to organize this undertaking?
Keep me informed.

How about we just elect am entirely new House like we get to do here soon because all the reps are up for re-election, then we put up Romney because he is about the closest thing to a Regan republican we have left in this country, unless you think Tancredo can raise enough money to get in.

Either way if we don't enforce the immigration laws in the next year and get that horrific thing out of the senate right now that they are refusing to call Amnesty, i am going to max out all my credit cards at a gun store.

wtf happened to our country?

No. That would be an illegal action and ANY official supporting could be jailed for a felony offense.

OTOH, you could start the second Civil war. Nothing like killing a few million more americans because you don't like a war in Iraq.

No. How do you stop paying taxes? Ask your boss. Hold an election?

C'mon.

It would be easier just to vote out the all incumbents at the next elections.
