i never really looked at the back but yeah i guess you are right when i think about it. usually if it is a heavy flow i have to change the tampon every hour and a half to 2 hours plus i have wear a heavy flow pad and it usually fills that up too. if you are having extremely heavy flows every cycle i would go see the gyno. i was a few years ago and found out i needed to be taking a coagulator because i'm a "bleeder". now i only have a heavy flow maybe 3 times out of the year but i'm still very regular even with taking the pills.

Before I went on birth control my pad could get like that within an hour during the day. I consider my period to be heavy when i MUST change my pad at least every 2-3 hours.

Nope... mine gets that way during the day as well between changes. My flow is so heavy that there are times I have to wear 2 overnight pads and a tampon to keep from having any "leaks".

for me heavy is when i use a super plus tampon and 2 extra long over night pads at one time and still have to get up several times during the night to change. happens all the time.

I don't know bcos mine isn't heavy and is slightly black. I don't think i have a problem with it bcos it runs for 3 & 1/2 days.

if you don't make it through the night with one overnight pad.... or if you need to change every three hours.... that would be heavy day to me.. and the cramps will usually tell you too.,... :-)
