I would like to know which of the following Wireless internet features would be available BY DEFAULT in a laptop(i.e. we do not need to buy any extra peripheral to include the feature):
1. WiFi
2. WiMax
3.Bluetooth

For those of the above which requires any extra peripheral to include the feature please indicate what peripheral to add.

To start, WiMax is a propietary technology which is therefore completely non essential and should not be considered an independent piece of technology. Secondly to answer your question WiFi and bluetooth can be built in, but are not generally considered standard equipment -- therefore no, they are not ALWAYS default. While manufacturers are moving towards making WiFi standard, bluetooth is still a ways off from achieving that rank.

Nope, many laptops don't have those! (My ol' IBM Thinkpad A31 doesn't have ANY! ... but then, it's an oldie! My new HP dz5000 has all of them, but I insisted!) They're not necessarily "peripherals" in that you can buy a laptop with the cards already installed inside! My HP has them all, so I don't have to plug any "adapters" to the outside. Look for these abilities in the technical specifications on the laptop manufacturer's website before you buy a laptop.

It helps to check out those specifications so's you'll ALSO get an idea of the standard price and you'll understand whether you're about to get a good deal wherever you're about to buy the computer. (E.g., go on the manufacturer's website, and go through the menus as if you're about to buy the computer, add on features to get stuff you want, like extra memory and such, then add the whole shmeer to your shopping cart and view the price, then X out instead of buying so's you can see the total!)
