Why is everyone saying rest in peace for Chris Benoit. He has just murdered his wife and young child. I hope he rots in hell!

Hey there, I believe either he was a wrestler or not does not mean that he was a bad person in reality. He went through rough times and situations with family and friends especially loosing a good friend in the family,Eddie Guerrero. God forgives everyone and he did it without though so if u were to be in his shoes, what would u do to relieve stress, anger, or depression attacking u from all angles? R U perfect to say that he should rot in hell? Chris Benoit is a human being and even though he did wrong, but nobody knows what happen behind the scenes of his lifestyle. Practice What U Preach!!!!
R.I.P. to Chris Benoit and Family / My deepest sympathies...
I am not a fan of Chris Benoit but I would never wish another human being to hell. Bill from Philadelphia.

what is known is they were under alot of distress as their son did have fragile x, and they were of course having marital problems. I really think any family that has a a child with a disability really should be put immediatley into family counseling as every member of the family will take the diagnosis different and the professionals that give the diagnosis do not have any resources or the fewest they really do not help in the way of giving the parents some solutions and places and people to talk to and I really think that should change as I talk to alot of families who pretty much fall apart when their child is diagnosed with any kind of disorder, the divorce rate of disabled families alone is outstanding. looking for a care provider is just as hard as their a very few who are able and willing to work with special needs kids. It was unfortunetly a little too hard on the Benoits. You know we should all just let it be now as we have no right judge and we do not have all the facts.

You know, I do feel sorry for Chris Benoit. But if he really did kill his family, he won't rest in peace.
The saddest thing I've read on the situation so far, is that his little boy absolutely adored and idolized his dad. He had posters and action figures of Chris Benoit in his room. The boy was found in his bed, and if that's where he was killed, he was most likely looking at those posters of his dad, while his dad was choking him to death. Makes me sick.

I do not know...even though it has not been proven that it was a murder suicide...it is pretty obvious. The divorce, the violence, the steroids. I think that he had been depressed for a long time and just snapped one night! I think it was pre-meditated, and I also think he was hopped up on steriods! It is beyond my comprehension to think of a father killing his 7-year old son...but he was giving him growth hormone steriods as well...so I guess it isn't that suprising!
Not for all of you who think that Chris "suffering" from his son's disease, WAKE UP!!! His son would be the only one suffering, and pumping HIM full of steriods is not the right answer either! I don't know all of the facts yet...but like I said when you put two and two together...either Chris killed his family or their is pretty sick person out there who made it look that way! I pray for his reletives, friends and fans...I'm sorry for their loss.

Usually I wouldn't enter into this but my husband and daughter watch wrestling for the comedy-soap opera qualities. They treat it like a sitcom. Even so, I was always struck by what a jerk this guy seemed like, apart from the wrestling persona good guy-bad guy stuff. He always seemed to have truly negative energy around him, not the acting like an a--hole kind of thing the other guys do. Turns out I was right. No sympathy is due this guy - he killed them in a cruel and premeditated way, not a rageful sudden way. A cold corner in hell is reserved for him and his like. And if I would ever do such a thing I would deserve equally no sympathy or mercy. People who do horrible things shouldn't get excused just because they're famous (O.J.).

I agree. I'm really interested in hearing what happened in those hours. I don't know how a man could murder his wife and child over the course of days and stay in the house with them.

Difficult moral question. Should he be remembered for his wrestling or the circumstances of the end of his life?
I found sympathy when he died, but as the truth became clear, I have to say, I found myself appalled. If people want to remember him - fine - but the truth is when all the facts are on the table, he committed murder. Forget eveything terrible in his life, he took the life of his son and wife. Willfully and calculated. The pain her friends and family are going through, should be the only place the public needs to have sympathy with.
He might have been a good man, but at the end he decided to end it all by taking those closest to him with him.

I agree with you, Loo-loo.. The murders were disturbing enough-- but what is more disturbing is all the people backing him up! Only someone sick and twisted would feel compassion for such a demented murdering individual.
Go on youtube, there are HUNDREDS of chris benoit tribute videos out there... and guess how many there are for Nancy---TWO (as of last night).
He beats her through their marriage-- then ties her up and murders her--and he gets hundreds of tributes--and she gets TWO.

No kidding. I am so sick of seeing the RIP's and "we love you, chris". It is sickening. Are wrestling fans this delusional? I hate how people act like they knew him. News Flash- you don't know him ..and you don't know what went on inside his brain. Most killers families don't even realize what their loved on is capable of-- until after the fact.
Would people be like this.. if OJ would have committed suicide after he murdered Nicole and Ron?
Motherseer, I am with you.. My friends watch wrestling and I did at one point, too. I always thought Chris looked like SUCH a jerk. I looked at a few of those stupid tribute videos on youtube--and it confirmed I was right-- he did used to act like a real a$$hole! I don't know why everyone is praising him as a nice guy--i NEVER saw that...and I surely don't see it now.

Don;t think 'everyone' is saying it - there a few weirdoes on here who seem to be confusing American wrestling with real life (or indeed who seem to think a wrestler's career is more important than real life), but if you check the majority of Benoit questions on YA you'll see that most people agree he was one sick puppy....
